Mission and Vision
Mission
Coordinating the development of all fields of engineering science and profession, of engineering practice and technology, through coverage and joint action of all engineering cadre, in order to be the bearer of the technological development of the state and beyond.
Vision
To encourage and motivate young people in the development of engineering to be at the forefront of the global innovation competition in the world, improving the quality and way of living.
History
- 1920 – Association of Yugoslav Engineers and Architects – Skopje Section
- 1946 – Society of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia
- 1951 – Subsidiaries of the Society of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia grow into the Professional Republic Societies of Engineers and Technicians
- 1956 – The Society of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia was renamed the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia
- 1962 – The Court of Honor was established
- 1991 – Union of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia, an independent Union in the Republic of Macedonia
- 1994 – Renaming of the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Macedonia into the Institution of Engineering Scientific Societies and Unions of the Republic of Macedonia
- 1996 – Golden Jubilee and First Issue of the Engineering magazine
- 1998 – Institution of Engineering Scientific Societies and Unions of the Republic of Macedonia is renamed to Association of Engineering Societies – Engineering Institution of Macedonia
- 2004 – First awarding of the Engineering Ring award
- 2010 – Engineering Institution of Macedonia becomes a full member of the Association of European National Engineering Organizations
- 2015 – The Engineering Ring Holders Club was founded
- 2016 – Awarded Declaration of the Republic of Macedonia on the occasion of 70 years since its foundation as a professional scientific organization, and especially for the results achieved in stimulating and coordinating the development of science and new technologies in all engineering disciplines in the Republic of Macedonia
- 2018 – The Club of Young Engineers was founded
- 2018 – Engineering Institution of Macedonia becomes a full member of the European Organization of Young Engineers
- 2020 – The Engineering Institution of Macedonia marked 100 years since the foundation of the first Macedonian Association of Engineers, in accordance with Article 3 of the Statute of the Engineering Institution as a follower of the tradition of professions and guild organization of engineers from March 21, 1920 until today.
- 2024 – The Engineering Institution of Macedonia, at its general meeting held on March 21, 2024, decided to declare March 21 as the national day of engineers.
